Wash Water Treatment System

OilTrap Environmental, a leading manufacturer of electrocoagulation (EC) wastewater treatment systems, has introduced a new generation of electrocoagulation water treatment systems designed for wash water generated from washing vehicles and equipment. The new EP-SD3 is economically priced and very simple to operate and maintain. This compact treatment system is designed to treat wastewater then discharge to sewer.

The new EP-SD3 can treat wastewater at a flow rate of up to 3 gallons per minute up to 750 gallons per day and is of a quality which is acceptable to be discharged to a sanitary sewer. Average treatment cost is only $0.003 per gallon or $3.00 per 1,000 gallons.

ElectroPulse system uses electrocoagulation, an electricity-based technology for treating wastewater economically and on-site. The EC treatment process has proven successful in removing a variety of contaminants that are impossible or too expensive to be removed by filtration or chemical treatment systems. Among these contaminants are emulsified oil, TPH (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon), suspended solids and heavy metals. Generally heavy metals are reduced to a metal-oxide, allowing sludge that is separated through the ElectroPulse treatment process, to pass a TCLP (Toxic Characteristic Leaching Procedure) test.

The new ElectroPulse EP-SD3 system requires small footprint and is modular for accommodating limited floor space. OilTrap ElectroPulse systems are being used in many applications, including heavy equipment washing, marinas, military wash operations, forest products processing, aircraft refurbishing, auto auctions, equipment washing, and metal finishing and deburring.

Packaged with on-board automation, the ElectroPulse system is fully automated, which dramatically reduces the cost and time of maintenance often associated with on-site wastewater treatment systems. Also, there are no filters to clean or replace and does not require the use chemicals, accept pH adjust in required.
