SAS Automation introduces new line of multi-function, robotic end-of-arm-tooling (EOAT) specifically for packaging and palletizing applications.

SAS addresses the challenges faced by packaging processors with robotic end-of-arm tooling that can pick and place a wide variety of shapes (bags, bottles, cans and boxes) from a single EOAT. Heavy loads up to 250 # with proper robot are handled easily with this tooling. Only SAS Automation provides a modular component based system for all makes of robots, all types of packaging. Their unique service van can design and built a tool on your production floor.

Multi-function EOAT:
• Eliminates changeovers
• Pick-up and move empty pallet and load cartons on pallet
• Palletize and insert slip sheets
• Secure parts from a mold, adjust centerline of products for immediate packaging
• Generic gripper arms designed to handle various diameter sizes with the same tool

Vacuum Zoning:
• Pick up various product shapes w/o changing EOAT.
• Special cups to handle more porous surfaces such as corrugated cartons.
• One tool can be designed to pick up 9 different carton configurations.
• Vacuum cups work in conjunction with air cylinders to stabilize loads for high speed applications.
