Single left-hand joystick control Crawler Dozer

Dressta North America has introduced the TD-25M Crawler Dozer which builds on the legacy of the prior TD-25H model. The TD-25M sets new performance standards with numerous operational and structural improvements.

The TD-25M is powered by a Cummins QSX-15 Tier II engine which meets all Tier II emission requirements. The engine continues to produce 320 net hp., but engine displacement has been increased by one liter and torque increased from 1180 ft. lbs. to 1215 ft. lbs. The resulting drawbar pull at 2 mph is now 44,000 lbs., a 10% increase.

A new multi-unit cooling package with a 2-speed hydraulic fan for improved efficiency provides cooling for the engine, powertrain, charge air, fuel and hydraulic system.

Another feature improvement of the TD-25M, as with all new Dressta crawler dozers, is the new single left-hand joystick that controls all machine motion functions - direction, gear ranges and steering modes. Steering includes 2-speed geared steering, clutch/brake and pivot modes.

Improved operator comfort is another highlight of the TD-25M. Increased cab pressurization and filtration, a cab air recirculation system with optional MSHA filter, easier-to-read instrumentation, and the joystick control all add up to a more comfortable operating environment that helps reduce operator fatigue.

"The new TD-25M crawler dozer is a big step forward for our industry," said Tom McGonigle, President of Dressta North America. "It combines reliability and power with advanced features that contribute significantly to operator comfort. At the end of the day, both machine and operator are more productive."

The TD-25M incorporates a number of structural modifications that improve performance. The main frame is 4.4 in. wider to increase the cooling airflow area, and large radiator guard door louvers also increase cooling airflow. The lift cylinders have been relocated forward to provide more direct blade lift force. This also eliminates the cylinder crosstube for improved serviceability. Moving the air conditioner condenser from the engine compartment to the rear of the cab roof has also improved serviceability. For improved nighttime operation, the lights have been re-positioned.

The tilt and pitch cylinder hydraulic lines have been relocated for improved visibility and better hose reliability; the sloped hood also enhances forward visibility. New hydraulic system diagnostic ports make the work of technicians easier. A larger engine air cleaner with improved airflow complements the larger displacement engine. And the muffler under the hood has been insulated to reduce pre-heating of the cooling air.

With its many features and improvements, the TD-25M is one of the most versatile dozers available for a wide range of applications in all demanding work environments.
