QuadTech, Inc., a leading electronic test equipment manufacturer in the passive component and electrical safety testing marketplace, announces the availability of the new model 1860 Megohmmeter. The 1860 is designed for measurement of insulation resistance of components, leakage resistance measurements on capacitors and for resistivity tests on samples of insulating material. The enhanced LCD display presents measurements in digital and analog format for instant test results. Its standard RS-232C interface makes serial data collection easy and fast.
Some of the outstanding features which make the 1860 ideal for a wide variety of insulation resistance measurements include:
· Resistance Measurement Range from 250kohm to 20Tohm
· Test Voltage: 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V & 1000V DC
· Charge Current to 2mA
· Programmable Charge & Measure Times
· RS-232 and Remote I/O Interfaces, Standard
· Comparison Function, Programmable Low Limit
· GO/NO-go Display Indicator
The 1860 offers a number of other features including, LCD graphic display, charge & discharge functions , programmable limits and built-in calibration capability. The instruments back-lit display enables quick, easy setup, and display of test results. Measured results of insulation resistance or leakage current are shown on the display in both text (digital) and bar graph (analog) format. For devices requiring long charge times, charge times up to 999sec are possible. With programmable high/low limits the 1860 is ideal for sorting components against a known standard. An optional Surface Plate Sample Test Fixture is available for surface resistivity measurements on sample materials. The 1860 Model is equipped with safety features including the 2mA current limiting function and the High Voltage Interlock.
The price of the Model 1860 Megohmmeter is $2,995, which includes a NIST traceable calibration certificate and lead set for connecting to the device under test.
