Bosch Security Systems, a full-line manufacturer of high-quality security systems and components, has introduced two value-priced additions to its popular line of flat-panel LCD monitors: the MON150CL 15-inch and MON170CL 17-inch Color LCD Flat Panel Display Monitors. Their ergonomic, compact, and aesthetically pleasing design makes these state-of-the-art monitors ideal for virtually any security application.

At 450 TV lines of resolution, the MON150CL monitor is a high-resolution liquid crystal display (LCD) video monitor. The MON170CL increases the monitor size to 17 inches, with a resolution of 500 TV lines. These color monitors are the top choice for large-screen, space-limited applications due to their slim LCD panel width - the MON150CL is only 2.5 inches wide and the MON170CL is a mere 1.9 inches wide.

Each monitor features inputs for composite video, audio, and Y/C - and an analog VGA input to accommodate the increasing use of PCs and digital video devices in security applications. Adjusting display parameters is easy due to user-friendly on-screen menus (available in several languages) and front panel controls. The monitors run on a universal power source and consume 50 percent less power than conventional CRT monitors.

The MON150CL offers a 15-inch color thin film transistor (TFT) active matrix 1024 x 768 pixel LCD panel, while the MON170CL has a 17-inch color (TFT) active matrix 1280 x 1024 pixel LCD panel. The LCD design uses long-life fluorescent backlights to maintain the brightness level over time, eliminating the brightness degradation associated with aging CRT-type monitors. These Bosch monitors also provide sharp displays - without the annoying flicker of CRT monitors - so customers can use the monitors longer with little or no eyestrain.

Their versatile design allows the monitors to automatically accept NTSC and PAL signal formats, and power supply voltages from 100 to 240 VAC. The units can be viewed in a variety of positions because of their wide range of viewing angles: 120° horizontal and 100° vertical for the MON150CL and 140° horizontal and 130° vertical for the MON170CL.
